Sacrificing goats and other animals is a custom in some religions including Islam to bring good luck.

The PK-661 flight en route to Islamabad from Chitral crashed earlier this month, killing all 47 passengers onboard including singer Junaid Jamshed. It remains unclear what caused the crash, but according to reports, PIA insists it wasn’t due to technical faults.

For those wondering, this flight did land successfully in Multan, Pakistan.
