Will the new Samsung Galaxy S8 be Happy (2015)good enough to make us forget the exploding phone jokes? We'll find out soon.

Samsung has had a rough go of it since the end of last year. Between exploding phones, washing machines and even a store that caught fire on Tuesday, the company has constantly been in the news—but not for great reasons.

Details about the new Galaxy S8 phone have leaked all over the place, but Samsung needs the gadget to make a major splash to douse the fires that are still fresh in everyone's memory. Which means Wednesday's "Unpacked" event is one to watch.

Here's how to follow along:

• The event is on Wednesday, March 29th at 11 a.m. ET. It'll be streamed live from the Lincoln Center in New York.

In addition to the S8, we're expecting to hear more about Gear VR, Samsung's AI assistant Bixby, this dock that turns the S8 into a 'real' computer and all the new phone colors. Hopefully, we'll also figure out what this bear emoji is all about.
