When CNN's Jake Tapper asked screenwriter Steven E. de Souza about it on Twitter, he confirmed that he sees Die Hardas a Christmas flick, right down to the fact that "a woman about to give birth features prominently."

De Souza even gave a nod to all of us fellow Jews out here on Christmas, joking that the studio wouldn't accept his original "Purim draft" of the movie that made Bruce Willis into the icon he is and gave Alan Rickman his first movie role.

For his part, de Souza seems to be very into the idea of Die Hardas a Christmas movie, even going so far as to post a photo dressed up as a walking reference to the film complete with bare feet and "ho-ho-ho" sweater.

He even goes so far as to wear a Pacific Courier hat, the made-up company featured on the truck the thieves drove into the garage as they set about their siege of Nakatomi Plaza.

As far as we're concerned, Die Hardhas always been a Christmas movie.

Yippee-ki-yay indeed.
